Repurposed t-shirts, Wood scraps, Thread.

Tee Shirt Fort (2019) is an installation piece I created for a group exhibition at the Jannotta Gallery at Smith College. The piece is a patchwork tapestry repurposing t-shirts I have collected since childhood, many of which I chose to bring with me on several cross country moves. The tapestry is hung from the wall and stretched over a wooden frame. Visitors are encouraged to enter the intimate space which evokes childhood forts to look at the text on the shirts.
